Join our 6-week therapy group, designed specifically for women who are journeying through perimenopause and beyond. In this safe and supportive space, we move beyond discussions centered on hot flashes to explore the full spectrum of symptoms and experiences that come with this life stage.

  • What is teletherapy and how does it work?

Teletherapy is virtual therapy services provided in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Your therapy session will be conducted using a HIPAA compliant, secure service. You can conveniently talk with me from your laptop, tablet, desktop or smartphone. Teletherapy easily fits within busy schedules allowing you to avoid the stress of traffic, parking, finding a babysitter,  awkward waiting rooms, or carving out additional commute time. Simply find a quiet, private location, get comfortable, and log into your client portal.

  • Is therapy confidential?

Trust and confidentiality is the foundation of our work together. The law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and therapist. No information is disclosed without the written permission from the client; however, there are some exceptions to this law. These exceptions include:

  • Suspected child, dependent, or elder abuse

  • If the client is presenting as a serious threat to themselves or someone else

  • What if I can’t make it to my appointment?

To avoid being charged your full session fee, 24-hour cancellation is required. We understand that life happens and there are times when you simply cannot make an appointment. However, a cancelled appointment hurts three people: you, the therapist, and another client who could have potentially used your time slot. When a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, we are  unable to fill your time slot or offer it to another client.

  • Can I do sessions in-person?

At this time, I only offer virtual sessions through a secure telehealth platform.

  • I do not live in North Carolina, can we still work together?
